About Dr Jaclyn Shaw Jarvis

Jaclyn is a small animal veterinarian with over 14 years experience. She grew up in America with a passion for animals, science, and healthcare. After considering a career as a medical doctor, she combined her interests to pursue veterinary medicine. Jaclyn trained and worked in New York City before moving to Sydney in 2014 and joining the Vaucluse Vet team. In 2023, Jaclyn became the owner of Vaucluse Vet and designed the new clinic at 46 New South Head Rd! She can be found consulting and/or doing surgery most days, while continuing to implement the very best care for our communities’ pets.

Jaclyn has completed extra training in emergency medicine, surgery, veterinary acupuncture, and has a special interest in geriatric patient care🩷 She has also completed additional studies at Taronga Zoo for native wildlife care.

At home Jaclyn loves to spend time with her Aussie family and friends and her pets Lucy the cavoodle and Finn the cat.
