Caring for your new Puppy

Do you know what you should do for your puppy’s first vet visit?

If you have a new puppy, we highly recommend booking them in for a check-up with us. Our experienced vets will be able to give you guidance on your puppy’s health including dietary requirements, parasite control and disease prevention.

Vaccinating your dog is the most important way that your animal can be kept safe from serious, preventable diseases like Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Kennel Cough and Leptospirosis. When we vaccinate your puppy, we will also conduct a full physical examination, so you can leave knowing that all of your pet’s health needs are covered.

Puppy Vaccination Schedule:

1st Vaccination - 6 to 8 weeks old

  • This vaccination will likely have already been given to your puppy by the time they join your family, but if they have not received it, please book them in with us as soon as possible.

2nd Vaccination - 12 weeks old

3rd Vaccination - 16 weeks old

  • This is your puppy’s third and final vaccination! After this vaccination your puppy is now fully vaccinated and it is safe for them to go out.

Annual Booster - 1 year +

  • A year after their final puppy vaccination, your dog will now be due for their annual booster, which will maintain their immunity and keep them safe for the next 12 months.
